Basic Logistics

Target group: Personnel working with flow of commodities, planning or distribution.
The course includes a discussion about what constitutes a company and also basic business economics, for example how results and profitability are measured. The term logistics is explained, as well as various logistic activities, such as distribution and material supply. Various production processes and production systems are also described.

Target group: Personnel working with construction, production processes or maintenance.
This course discusses production technology and production development in producing companies. Quality defects are discussed as is the possible increase of quality and productivity of the production system, for example by doing a value analysis. In addition, various terms and methods that are interesting when dealing with rationalizations, investments and other studies are described.

Previous knowledge: Assumes knowledge comparable to the course Basic Logistics.

Target group: Personnel that can affect the utilization of the inventory.
This course deals with most things concerning inventory, for example various kinds of inventory, utilization, costs and stocktaking. The flow through the material handling functions of a company are described, everything from goods reception to dispatch, and also various methods of managing the inventory, for example volume value analysis or prognoses.

Lean Production

Target group: All personnel
Lean Production is a philosophy that strives to use the least resources possible. This course explains the term Lean Production and how this is applicable and implemented in a company. Factors that are important for Lean Production are standardization, process stability, teamwork and productive flows.
